Why We Have Pets
I think the reason so many of us have pets is because animals like cats and dogs are a lot more innocent than any human can be, and because of loyalty and company. Plus, animals are not very judgmental. And while humans can be loyal and loving, humans are never entirely innocent, and are often quite judgmental. Somebody could talk to a cat about something they need to get off their mind, and that cat would listen, and never judge or interrupt that person. And they are easy to take care of. Sometimes, we get a pet to feel safe, like a German Shepard. Also, when a cat or dog stretches out blissfully to nap, that bliss, not weakened by the burdens of a human's life, radiates off the animal and into our hearts. I hope you enjoyed this short post.
