The Wax! It Burns!
Ack! There is still wax on my lips! Okay, this is a long story, so let's start at the begging. Yesterday afternoon, I was doing a lot of woodworking, until I had to eat dinner and head to bed. But I think some wood dust got on my lips, including wood burn by the drill, and they were getting very dehydrated very quickly. So I got up after a half an hour of sleeplessness and stumbled my way to the cupboard. I found something that looked like chap stick, or lip protectant, and put it on. It was what it was labeled, but not what I was looking for. It was very waxy, and felt like it was burning my skin. It was also keeping the wood dust and bits pressing into my lips, instead of the opposite, so I had to get out of bed, grab a flashlight, and search the entire house, every drawer and storage unit, every backpack, fanny-pack, and purse, and about 2 hours later, I found the right chap stick. Then I had to spend another 30 minutes washing my mouth out with washcloths and soap, and then I applied the proper lip balm and, in another 30 minutes, finally fell asleep. So here I am, in the morning, kind of grumpy. A combination of six hours of sleep, wax still remaining on my lips, and this class being so darn loud makes for a not-too-happy me. At least yesterday was a good day.
