More Photos & Principle Meeting

So far, Project Civethics is coming along quite well. There have been a few minor setbacks, but that is to be expected when a student tries changing the curriculum/leading a team, if small, of teachers. And the principle did get my message. But the principle I sent it to wasn't the principle I was suppose to contact for this kind of thing. Anyways, one of the other principles saw the note and is going to be meeting with me next week. So, I'm definitely looking forwards to it. Anyways, I have collected some good cat photos recently, so here they are.

This reminds me of a time when I was at a birthday party, and the birthday boy smashed his head into the cake. I wonder why! What a waste of cake. But that is just my opinion.

I got this shot as he was halfway through meowing, but it is hard to tell because the camera is looking down on him.

Determination in his eyes.

"Hello? Anyone in here?"

Great timing, right!

"Oh no you didn't! Oh, I bet you think your sooo cool, don't you!"

What a thirsty cat.

Wait a minute... since when did Spot have a shotgun?!

Bliss Spreads

I apologize if I have already posted about this to some extent, but I feel like talking about this. One of the things I always look forwards to at the end of each day is returning home, and being greeted by my cats, and my mother, if she is home. The second I open my front door, Tabby will get up from his pillow and greet me excitedly. And Spot, if he doesn't greet me with Tabby, is usually resting in the laundry room. So as I go to hang up my coat and hat, I stop by the place he is napping, and once I get within a few feet of him, whether he is awake or asleep, he will stat purring blissfully. He does that whenever I am near him. And when he shows that enjoyment of my presence, it really makes me smile with glee. How could it not? The fact that Spot, let alone any creature that values territory as much as a cat, can find bliss and happiness from my merely being near him. It shows that Spot looks at me as family. And it shows that he puts family above. And seeing that cute, innocent cat, that doesn't understand anything I do or say, purr blissfully at my presence, and follow me around on short adventures, just really makes me happy. Man, I think I said the same sentence 10 times in different ways. Oh well.

Before & After

So, I have done some more decorating of my thinking room, adding things like a sword display, cleaning off and organizing surfaces, and turning my bed into a comfy couch. So, before bed, I will click off the overhead light, turn on the eerie blue light, play some jazz music, and just sit there, on my lounge couch-bed, and think for an hour or two. It relieves tons of stress, fills you with peace and calm, and, after a few minutes, you start to think, and plan. I think it is very healthy and useful to have your office and bedroom in a room made for thinking. Heck, it's healthy and useful just to have a room that exists for thought. But really, try it some time. Me and both of my cats recommend it.

Psychologically Interchangeable Home Improvement

Recently I have been thinking about the psychological effects the colors red and blue on us, and I have been buying red and blue tinted light bulbs. And soon I will be uncovering hidden power outlets, lamps, and surfaces. Any guesses as to what I am doing? Well your wrong! I am going to be egging my house with light bulbs!! Not really. I am going to redesign my room/office into a room I have been wanting for quite a while. A room with the soul purpose of thinking and exercising my mind. An entirely blue room with a arctic blue light, a soft blue rug, a blue couch, a blue desk, and an office chair. And there I will sit for hours, thinking and planning, and exercising my mind. There will also be a red tinted lamp I can turn on if I would like to fill the sky blue room with a soft, sunset of variants of red. And my room hasn't been cleaned or organized since I was 6, so I have a lot of work to do. I guess I will just have to turn on the electro swing, crank up the volume to a loud, but not unhealthy extent, and get that work done in a blaze of psychologically enhanced efficiency. I will have to make myself a list of specific steps. Wish me luck, I guess.

MmmmMMMMMMmmm My Favorite Meal!

My favorite meal is not a long line of "m"s varying in capitalization, for those you who thought it was. I know some people go on some crazy diets, but I'm not one of them. Anyways, getting to the point, in a half an hour or so I am going to have a lot of mushroom steak, which Australian chefs tend to make very well (I know from experience). If you didn't figure it out yet, my favorite food is, by far, mushroom. And my mom got a huge mushroom. I mean HUGE. It is about a quarter of the size of my head. Or one third. And that mushroom, as well as the steak, are being cooked right now. I can smell it from here, and it is one heck of a wonderful smell. Oh man oh man oh man oh man oh man oh man! It's food like this that really tires my patience. It's like you seen in cartoons, where you see the smell wafting from the kitchen, and passing by a character, who acts like a cat that just noticed catnip. Now, if I get bacon for breakfast, then that would just add to the greatness of this dinner.

Project Civethics Launched?

Today I am teaching the first Ethics and Life Control classes of this experiment. I have already taught the Ethics lesson to the 7th grade class, and later I am going to be giving the Life Control lesson to the 6th graders. Some other things I plan to do today is speak to the school psychologist about the project. She could be a very useful member of the project. Sorry about how short this post is, and wish me luck.

Further Thought: Is It Really Possible?

I thought about Civethics further, and I wonder, even if I did prove that it can work, and is needed, and get the public, parents, and teachers on my side, as well as have an active and sufficient fund raiser, would I really be able to make it official? I feel that the school district wouldn't make such a big change to schools in the district, even if everyone wanted it and it was clearly working and for the better. If you have any ideas as to how I can manage to make Civethics possible, let me know.

Civethics Could Happen

I have figured out the education that our future generations need, and aren't getting. A class that has ethics, civics, life control, and tech use. Tech Use teaches students about how if we do not use our technology wisely, our smartphones start damaging our brainpower and eyesight, and can get us addicted to a dumb game, and how bad that is. With that education, they will know how to efficiently and carefully use the technological tools they have, and not devolve in the process. Civics teaches them politics. Ethics teaches them about discrimination, greed, corruption, and other things of that sort, and how not to end up doing them. Life Control teaches them how to avoid the traps set by big companies and restaurants, like addiction to fast food, debt, et cetera. It also teaches them how to see and react properly to suspicious activity. Now, you may be wondering, how the heck am I going to add an entire new or two to schools, let alone one school. Well, I have a plan, and so far, all my plans of these sort have worked. What can I say, I'm lucky, and good at planning. I am working with three teachers, who are assigned to and in control of one classroom and what it teaches, to redesign what is taught there into Civethics, with an official schedule and everything. Now, that is just one, not really official class. But it doesn't need to be an official class yet. I am contacting the principle, and will talk to him about this. And while he may not be able to make it official, he can let me send out a poll to the parents and teachers asking whether or not they want a Civethics class. The principle can also get the school district to watch the experimental Civethics class and see how well it can be executed. Which is perfect. And if I need to convince people, oh boy I can! I remember one of my neighbors talking with my mom about one of her patient's children, who hung himself in middle school. The reason he hung himself was because of one of those dumb challenges kids make others do before those kids can be their "friend", or "cool". The challenge was to escape a noose before dying. And why did the kid do it? Because he was never educated against it. And this isn't as rare as you may think. If those kids were taught ethics, and life control, like Civethics teaches, they would have never done that. A kid's life would be spared, and a mother would not have to grieve. And look at the state of politics nowadays! Trump is winning the election! But if the people who voted for him had been taught Civics in school, they would not have voted for him. They would see what would happen if Trump became president, and they would research him. If Trump is elected, America will probably go to war, all thanks to the fact that Civics was not taught anymore. And all around you, many people, adults and kids, are being sucked into the addiction of fast food, and becoming dumber because of dumb and addicting games on their phone. Because they were never taught Life Control and Tech Use. And people are putting money over others lives!! See what I mean? Is that convincing to you? Please comment what you think about this. I would appreciate all and any feedback.

Why We Have Pets

I think the reason so many of us have pets is because animals like cats and dogs are a lot more innocent than any human can be, and because of loyalty and company. Plus, animals are not very judgmental. And while humans can be loyal and loving, humans are never entirely innocent, and are often quite judgmental. Somebody could talk to a cat about something they need to get off their mind, and that cat would listen, and never judge or interrupt that person. And they are easy to take care of. Sometimes, we get a pet to feel safe, like a German Shepard. Also, when a cat or dog stretches out blissfully to nap, that bliss, not weakened by the burdens of a human's life, radiates off the animal and into our hearts. I hope you enjoyed this short post.

Working With Groups

Pretty soon I might be working with different non-profit groups about discrimination. I believe that students should be taught proper ethics at school, and until I can change the educational system itself, I can teach classes myself. And it feels satisfying to me, to contact companies and groups about my cause and actually getting to talk to them about it. It proves that just because I am a student, doesn't mean I can't teach classes, work with adults about educational software, and actually make a difference. Now, you may be thinking. How can I go from school to school teaching when I have to go to school myself. Simple. I can skip a good amount of class(es) if I have a good enough reason, and going from school to school teaching not only does a lot of the stuff you are supposed to be taught on a smaller scale in school at some point, but surely skipping a class to teach a class ethics they need to know is acceptable.

Bliss

I got some really got cat photos recently, including perfectly timed yawns! My camera has a delay, and needs time to focus, so the photos of my cat's yawning are photos I am proud of. Anyways, here are some of the most blissful photos I took recently, because the blissfulness of cats seems to radiate off them and into us.

Poetry And Photos

I have been taking photos, editing them, and writing poetry, then combining them into cool posters recently. You have already seen one. So I will show you three more. One of which uses Catography. I hope you enjoy, and if you can't read it, zoom in, or wait for me to post the poems themselves.

Poor Morrie

So, good morning readers. I was just thinking about Morrie. Every night, for hours and hours on end, he just sits on our porch, staring up at our door and praying it would open. Which is weird. His owners live right across the street from me, and if he can out, surely he can get back in. So why doesn't he? Hmm. Maybe his owners put him on a diet of food he hates, and that would explain why he begs for food. But why would he deny the hospitality provided by his owners? Maybe he doesn't like toddlers. Not in the sense that cats hate young children, for all you who think that. Cats who live in families with toddlers need to put up with how the young kids treat them. Perhaps that is why. But then, surely all toddlers are asleep by midnight, at least. But seriously, that poor little cat sits there hours past 12:00AM. Here you can see him begging. Man, I might have to put a cushion out there for him at night if he keeps this up. Poor Morrie.

Educating About Discrimination Beyond School & Blog- Youtube Comments

I have noticed that some popular youtubers are playing a game that gives you one question at a time, and each question has two answers. It is a would you rather game. And when you choose, it shows you what the majority of other people chose. It presents very interesting options, and that leads to very interesting comments and conversations in the comment section. I have seen people discuss the history of WW2, time travel science, and star wars characters. In one episode, one of the two youtubers was presented with "punch jar jar binks or talk to yoda".  And that meant that loads of people in the comments talked excitedly about how they would kill jar jar because of how annoying the character was. And the fact that the mere mention of a jar jar can show just how many people discriminate is saddening, but also presents a perfect opurtunity for me to educate them. I wrote up a comment explaining what discrimination is, and why it is bad, and how what they are doing is bad, so they can see the whole picture. Maybe even get them thinking. I sign that comment with "Sincerely, Matthew, Blogger and Semi-Teacher", copy it, and paste it as a reply to all of those comments I see.

The Wax! It Burns!

Ack! There is still wax on my lips! Okay, this is a long story, so let's start at the begging. Yesterday afternoon, I was doing a lot of woodworking, until I had to eat dinner and head to bed. But I think some wood dust got on my lips, including wood burn by the drill, and they were getting very dehydrated very quickly. So I got up after a half an hour of sleeplessness and stumbled my way to the cupboard. I found something that looked like chap stick, or lip protectant, and put it on. It was what it was labeled, but not what I was looking for. It was very waxy, and felt like it was burning my skin. It was also keeping the wood dust and bits pressing into my lips, instead of the opposite, so I had to get out of bed, grab a flashlight, and search the entire house, every drawer and storage unit, every backpack, fanny-pack, and purse, and about 2 hours later, I found the right chap stick. Then I had to spend another 30 minutes washing my mouth out with washcloths and soap, and then I applied the proper lip balm and, in another 30 minutes, finally fell asleep. So here I am, in the morning, kind of grumpy. A combination of six hours of sleep, wax still remaining on my lips, and this class being so darn loud makes for a not-too-happy me. At least yesterday was a good day.

Poetic Monochrome & Today's Cat Photos

I didn't manage to get very many cat photos, since I need to save storage on my phone, but that gave me time to hang out with my team, and take the first photo in a no doubt long line of photos of the same genre. Poetic Photos. The photo is of thorns, vines, and weapons surrounding a small tree. And against that small tree rests a shield and a flaming torch. Amongst the vines and weapons, two more torches are alight but with smaller flames. In the top left corner of the photo is some poetry I wrote, and am quite proud of. (The flames and poetry are edited in). Here you go!
