Readers, your patience has been rewarded, as life goes. I have found a way to post the edited cat photos! Also, on a side note, I am working on a wall of achievements in my room. I will keep you updated on it's status. Who knows. Maybe someday I will do an office tour video. So, comment what you think about these photos and maybe even comment an idea you have for me to make with my cats and some editing. Either way, you all seem to enjoy these posts on cat photography, so I will do these mainly on Fridays, weekends, and days off. Enjoy, and bon appetite.

Today I will be putting on my leather vest, grabbing my camera and other tools, and setting out for more photos. I will share the good ones with you all. Editing Cat Photos & Call The Bird Watchers!!

Continuing my last post on cat photography, there is another great thing you can do with a good cat photo. Edit it. If the cat looks like it is reacting to something, give it something to react to. Or maybe give it a hat. I sadly can't post the examples yet. Also, a mosquito hawk got inside. Someone call the bird watchers!!

Vacations, Past And Present & Camera Situations

So, as you know, in the last post, I talked about photography, and how that was one of the main uses of my phone. Well my phone temporarily lost half it's purpose. I will talk more about that and my vacation to Canada in this post.
 After taking some nature photos, I went to snap a photo of Tabby, and found that my phone is out of storage. And yes, I have all my photos backed up on my laptop, but I fear that if I delete a photo on my phone, it will delete it's corresponding copy on my Drive. And that might be a dumb worry, but I worry nonetheless. Hmm. I am going to try deleting some apps I have needlessly installed, and then try taking some more photos. This will take milliseconds for you, but a while for me. Anyways, here I go.... It worked! But will only work for so long. And this is taking ages to back up everything. I might have to back everything up to a separate storage unit. I better fix this, and soon. Well, I guess "soon" is no exact amount of time, and is usually used to describe something happening in the nearer future than something else. In this case, I am comparing summer to some time a few years from now. Why summer, you may ask. Well, this summer me and my family are going to Canada! Last time my family went somewhere beautiful and fun for vacation (Orca Island) was before I got a photographic device, and we didn't get any good photos. But this time, I hope to capture some perfect scenes and moments. But it will be kind of odd. Going somewhere cold and snowy during the summer. Fun Fact: I will probably be moving there if Trump is elected, so as to stay clear of oncoming war. Because I believe that war would be imminent if Trump is elected. And heck, the place I live now is going to be hit with a tsunami some time during my life anyways, so either way I will move. Oh, on a side note, if you don't know what Orca Island is, it is a wonderful place. A beach is one mile away from wherever you are, there are forests, a medieval fort (or maybe it was a castle), and other good places to explore, beautiful scenery, and, if you know where to look, some beautiful old places where you can stay. When I went there, I stayed in a big old house, covered in vines and flowers, right by the water, a beach, and a forest. There were only four rooms for tourists to stay. Out the window, you could watch water planes take off and land, and at night you can watch deer frolic. It's owned by the house's owners, who are also the cooks (and good ones at that). The restaurants and museums there are great. I highly recommend going there. Anyways, I'm sorry about how long that side note was. I just had to talk about that.

Cat Photography & And Poetic Photo Ideas

Here are some of the best photos I took recently. Enjoy! Oh, and the monogram image of a light post in the darkness is a poetic photo about light shining through the void. Cat photography is hard, don't get me wrong. But it is very rewarding when done right. One facial expression on a cat could portray many different things, depending on the angle and lighting of the shot. Thus you can express deep thought, relaxation, interest, and even personality through a good photo. See what I mean? If you want to try this yourself, I recommend no flash or noise if the cat is already in a perfect pose, and sneakily/casually getting the shot. But if you want to get the cat to move, or look in your direction, don't use flash, use noise. And if you want multiple photos of the pose, you better have fast fingers. This is why I love having a handy dandy quick draw camera on my phone. Because you don't usually take a camera everywhere, and that means you miss loads of opportunities. There was a time when I was traveling, and a bunch of military vehicles started driving by my car. I would have loved to get a photo of that, but lo and behold, the camera was in the trunk. You know, I only ever really use my phone for two things. Communication other than email, and photos. Some people may consider that a waste of it's other features. And to those people, my phone cost 99$. It's no super-phone. See, I like to save up for upcoming technology, like, at one point, Chromebooks, and now AR headsets. Because I would rather have that stuff when it comes out than I would like to be stuck with the best phone of today. But then, that could just be me. Now then, I am going to head out side and go photo hunting. Wish me luck!

A Lot Of Filming To Do

I need to make a stop motion film for design, and I have pretty much everything ready. All I have to do is grab my hunting knife (to get around the mini-jungle where I will be filming), my phone (to take the pictures and edit my work), and my props (I definitely need those!), and get out there. Hopefully Morrie & Spot, the dynamic duo of furry longhairs, won't get in my way too much. If I trip in the mini-jungle, I could lose whatever is in my hand at the time, knock over the props, get tangled in the many thorns, vines, and trees, or some combination of the above. Like a science experiment, the ideal place to film is somewhere where unpredictable or controllable things like time, weather, and creatures won't effect the project. But perfection is an illusion. And plus, this is just a class project, not a life or death situation. Now, the good thing about having this as homework instead of paperwork is that it will be at least kind of fun. And during my breaks from filming, I can do things like contact businesses, prepare lessons/presentations, and, of course, relax.

Branching Off And Reaching More Companies

I have contacted several educational companies, telling them about my cause, my offer, and my ideas, and asking them if they can recommend any other companies I could contact. And hopefully, each company I contact will be able to use my ideas. And that, I believe, would be a very efficient use of my business time window. Some of the companies I have contacted are AUG, Aug That, Meta, and C.A.R.E. And by working with those companies, as well as teaching classes myself, I know that I can at least dent the problems with educational system, and maybe even catch the eye of other companies/schools while I am at it. While doing stuff like this at my age has certain downsides, like more limits to my work than an adult, and the fact that some people may not be able to take me seriously, it has certain advantages too. For example, nobody really expects to all of a sudden get an email from a middle schooler offering to discuss the educational design of a technological product. Nor do they expect a middle schooler to start teaching classes. And that means that it will be a whole lot more noticeable than a teacher teaching. Perhaps it will catch the eye of a news channel, newspaper, or radio station (if so, hopefully one of the latter two), which would give me a chance to not only find more companies, but get word of my goal, cause, and reasons for doing what I do. A radio station or newspaper would allow me to read something I write, but a news channel would make it hard for me to use a script I could write. And that would mean my speech disorder, where I say one word then say a different word to replace it, and hesitate a while mid sentence. If I had to write a script of answers for an interview, they would be honest of course. It would be my answers, written down and polished grammatically by me, so I don't have to say the same answers, but figure out what to say as or right before I say it. Either way, if I do catch the eye of some news team, I hope it is after I figure out what I would do and say. So wish me luck with my missions and plans. Oh, and thank goodness it's Friday (I just had to get that out there).

Soon Going To Lift Mass Against Gravitational Force

*Long sigh* I just finished a lot of DNA decoding work for science, and am taking a break. Man, this stuff is mentally tiring. Anyways, this post is just going to be a quick update on my status before I go lift dense masses against the gravitational force of the planet. Or, to put it simply, I am going to write this daily update before I hit the gym. So, as for my adventures in the vast lands of the business world, I emailed one of the companies I am in contact with, asking whether or not they were able to use the ideas I provided them with yet. One of my teachers is doing some research into different companies working on educational software for augmented reality, so I can contact them. Morrie is longing to get into my house, as always, that silly cat. Spot is good as ever. And I am trying my hand at poetic photography. I will try and post some photos soon. Anyways, I gotta hit the gym now.

Time Window

Augmented reality is new and generally prototype technology that I know is going to become a really big business, and quite soon. So I very lucky to have this window of time, when AR isn't a really big business yet, in which I can actually contribute to the design of it's software and possibly hardware. The dawn of new technology, like this, is pretty much the only time a student could ever email an offer of help to a technology company that will change the world and become popular, and have that offer accepted. And that means I had better use this time window wisely. I will either end up achieving nothing in the business world, or actually contribute to the change and improvement of education through technology at a young age. Other than going from class to class teaching like I already do. But I want to do everything I can, and that means taking every change you get, and using all time windows wisely, and making sure I sound professional, intriguing, intelligent, and attention-worthy in my writing when contacting companies. Like so. And perhaps I will gain the attention of some media for my teaching and working, and that would probably present me with an opportunity to say something and have a good amount of people hear it. And some companies might actually come to me. As I previously stated, this will either do barely anything, or a lot, towards my goal. Speaking of which, I am still waiting on a return email from an education through AR company as of now. So wish me luck with that.

Head In The Clouds

Lately, I have had my head in the clouds, thinking a lot about different things, and figuring out what I am to do. But hopefully by the end of lunch I will be able to focus on my school work better. I apologize for how short this post is, but I need to get to work.

How Much Is Too Much

There are many things I would like to do on top of the things I do on top of what I have to, but how much is too much? Is trying to eventually change the world, making school a better place, working with high tech companies, teaching classes, going to school as a student, going gold/iron hunting, traveling a lot, studying psychology until I have memorized the books, raising funds for schools, and trying to get my message out there too much? Perhaps. Maybe I could divide it up. Traveling, treasure hunting, and study psychology a ton at a time will be done over the summer, and everything else will mostly be done in school, but also be done a bit over breaks/summer.  And bam! It isn't too much anymore! So how much is too much??

Lightning Fast Reply

This morning I emailed a company that Todd recommended about my cause, and they replied in about 10 minutes. That surprised me. And they asked if I could schedule a call. Isn't that funny? All of the two companies I have contacted so far wanted to schedule a call. Now my business contacts list has two people. So far I have been taken quite seriously in the business world, regardless of my age, and I am genuinely surprised. And that builds up the kind of stress you can laugh about. And laughing decreases stress. So that is convenient. And you know what? My life is full of conveniences, and right when I most need them. If I need a technician, I can usually just walk into the hall and run right into him. Anyways, getting back to business, literally, the company I am emailing now doesn't develop the kind of AG technology I have devised ideas for, though I think I can take some of the concepts and change the idea to fit the technology they make. I also asked them to recommend some companies that are working on teaching software for AG headsets. So wish me luck, I guess.

Treasure Hunting & How My Laziness At Home Is Important

Although this post may be random, I wanted to talk about this. During the summer, I love to travel to cool and beautiful places like Orca island, or other awesome places, see the sights, and, of course, go treasure hunting. And by that, I mean metal detecting. I could metal beaches, rivers, lakes, forests, anywhere I am allowed to. I love the thrill of treasure hunting, because you never know what you are going to get, and while you are searching for loot, you can meet new people, see new sights, and go to new places. But, sadly, my summers are rarely spent traveling. They are spent mainly staying home on my laptop, LARPing, woodworking, and the occasional summer camp. And while that is nice, it leaves me longing for more. While my house may be home, nothing beats going new places. Variety is something I not only love, but need more of. And I think the reason I don't travel much is a combination of not being able to afford it, not being able to plan it, and my mother being way too busy with work. And another thing I could do if I traveled more, other than go hunting for treasure and good photo opportunities, is spread word of my mission. (Sigh) if only I could spend my summers traveling, treasure hunting, and doing other fun things I want to do. Well, I guess life can't be everything you want it to be. But it would be healthy for summer to be full of travel. See, when I get home from school at the end of each day, I get straight to just relaxing and having fun. I become quite lazy until I wake up in the morning. But at school, I am the opposite of lazy. See, the logic behind being both lazy and the opposite of lazy is actually quite simple. I pack a lot of work (like studying psychology, teaching, et cetera) on top of the work I already have to do (school work), and while that is very efficient, and one of the things that makes me different (in a good way) from everyone else, and it means I achieve a lot, it still means I have to deal with having a lot of weight on my shoulders (metaphorically), and that is quite stressful. So when I get home I watch videos people make online, like gameplay and skits, to take my mind off the stress of all my work. I take the weight off my shoulders for the afternoon. And that is one of the main reasons I don't do any homework. And summer is like one big long break from my work. But that might change quite soon. And if it does, travel might become even more helpful. And for those of you who think that I feel stressed a lot at school because of my  work, you are wrong. Partly. See, I don't feel entirely emotional stressed. And b that, I mean I do, but I don't really realize it. It's complicated, but I hope I managed to explain this pretty well.

Write a Novel?

My mom thinks that a good way to change the public opinion about a certain group is to write a novel from the perspective of somebody in that group, to capture what their life is like, and how they think. But writing novels like that are hard for me. Would I just write about every day of that fictional characters life in a row? Or just write one day, then skip several days, or weeks, or months, or even years, to a different day? I have that same kind of problem when trying to write a book about school. Each day is very similar to the next. And how would I best capture how the person thinks? Would I write every thought the character thinks for the entire book? Or just the important ones? If I only wrote the main or most important thoughts, it would seem like the other thoughts weren't there, since they would never be written. I don't think I could write a novel of that sort, at least not for a few years. Anyways, for design class we are making a stop motion animation (which is why I have been making one), and I need to add more to the animation I made. I also have to reverse it. And I thought I found a way to do so, but apparently the animation is too large. And I can't re animate it because I deleted all the frames from my phone to save space. So how am I going to do this? Will I have to make an entire new animation? Will I have to redo all of those 160+ frames of work. I guess I will see.

Film Script

I have prepared the script for a short film called The Killer Cow, which follows two idiots as they go on a journey to take out what they think is a spy cow. It requires four crew members to make (including Spot, as the cow), which I think I can manage. If Noah isn't available, Andrew could be character two, and Mom could be the camera-woman. If Noah is available, Noah can be Character Two, and Andrew can be the camera man, or maybe the other way around. Also, I am still trying to get that music video emailed to me so I can show you guys.

My Woodworking & LARPing team, And Possible Films

I took a picture of me and the other two members of my LARPing and woodworking team. Noah is the one with the purple blade, Andrew is the one with the giant wooden sword, and I am the one with the shorter, one-and-a-half hand blade The Wing Clipper. I also took some pictures of me in my pleather battle gear, carrying a sword and shield. Me, Noah, and Andrew have made many wooden, and a few metal, swords over the years. And we even make other things, like wooden guns, on occasion. Some of our current projects are modifying a broken toy gun to turn it into a good prop, finishing a wooden assault rifle, cutting out and shaping a wooden handgun, and painting/duct-taping them to look good. We occasionally trade with each other, like, for example, two Nerf guns for a wooden sword, et cetera. And I am going to be trading for some more scraps and parts pretty soon. I might have to trade some stuff to them for helping me modify the broken gun and cut out the handgun. And, you may be wondering, what am I going to be doing with those prop guns when they are done? Simple. Filming. I will come up with good plots for short skits, and perform them with my team, then post them on my blog. Anyways, here are the pictures (including a picture of my Kabar hunting knife, which I use to whittle). Also, when I first noticed Noah was over today, he was filming Andrew dance to some dubstep, and I photobombed them. I, off screen, pretended to shoot Andrew with my hand. He flopped to the ground, and I walked by the camera, firing one last imaginary bullet into him for good measure. In the end, I me and Andrew were dancing zombies. Who knew a photobomb could make a video go all Micheal Jackson like that. I will try to post the video.

Multi-Gravitational Rock Climbing

Regardless of my weakened leg muscles having a hard time moving my legs, I did go swimming. And my mom was right. Being in water did help my legs. Probably because I weigh less in water. Anyways, at the pool I go to, there is this rock climbing wall. And it doesn't extend into the water. So to climb it, I have to pull myself out of the water, grabbing the fake stones. And it's like my body, as I pull it out of the water, starts multiplying in weight. And I don't have that much upper-body/arm strength in the first place. And having to do that while quickly adjusting to sudden change in gravity for part of my body makes for quite the challenge. So every time I go swimming there, I try to climb higher. Also, did I mention that the upper half of the wall is at an angle, leaning over the water? Well, I guess it's good to always have a challenge in your life.

I Have A Plan

I think I have a plan for my upcoming business call. I am sharing this plan with you all partly to make sure I remember it myself, and partly so you all can hear it. Or read it. So here it is. I have typed up a three page document with a bunch of different things I am going to discuss during the call, which I will be able to look at instead of remembering it all and speaking off the top of my memory. But I can't read off a script for the entire call. Mainly because I don't know exactly what the person at the other end of the call will ask, or say. And I don't really feel like writing down a response to every possible question or comment. But in this certain case, having my minor but still problem-causing speech disorder present isn't entirely a bad thing. It backs up my case. If I haven't already said, the business call is going to be with Todd Revolt of Meta, and I will be discussing the Meta 2's design with him. Specifically helping him modify it's design so it can be used to help students with different disorders do well in school and later in life. I wonder how old Todd thinks I am. I did say in my email that I was a student myself, but he probably won't expect me to be a middle schooler. And I don't blame him if he is. Middle schoolers typically don't make time in their schedule to discuss the design of a holographic device with a professional. And I am no normal middle schooler. Anyways, some time today, and I have no idea when, I will be pulled out of class to teach the AP class. If it turns out that my lesson is once again not the day I think it is, then I might just give up. For a day. Then get back to trying to teach. Anyways, wish me luck with my business call (which I think I will have on Thursday) and my lesson.

If you have seen the picture I uploaded of me holding my cat between my fingers as if I was carefully examining a rare jewel, I learned that trick of perspective from second grade. Right before we all got on the bus to go back to school from a field trip to Portland, my teacher called me over. She then took out her camera and helped me positioned my fingers so it looked like I was holding the bus. Anyways, I made a field vlog, but whenever I try to post it, you can't watch it, darnit!

Today is my one day long, much needed vacation from school, and I have had plenty of time to think. And, after thinking about my upcoming lessons, speeches, and business call, I want to practice speaking on the fly. And what better way to do that than doing a bit of vlogging here and there? Also, I have taken interest in making moving images for my blog I think they are called GIFs. Here is one that I made a few minutes ago as a sort of joke about vlogging. Man, I look so clueless. I might upload my first vlog video later. I might wait until my neighbors stop either using a chain saw, using a leaf blower, or using a saw. I don't know which of those they are doing. My Cat Is Tiny

Girlfriend, Teaching, Helping Change Education

Suddenly, I have things to be quite nervous about. Starting with today. Today, two things were suddenly forced upon me unexpected, and both of them make me nervous, a bit proud and excited, and confused. One of them is the fact that now I will be talking to Todd Revolt, a professional, who I am pretty sure is the director of Meta 2, about the design of a high tech AG Headset. The other thing is not a thing. It is a who. During PE today, this very nice person came up to me, and we talked for a bit. She did not care that I was different. And, long story short, I now have a girlfriend. I never really expected to have a girlfriend, and am very nervous and confused. But, like talking to Todd, if it turns out well, it will turn out very well. If the call goes well, I might be one of the people who change education and/or school for the better, and get the early start at changing the world that I have been looking for. And if having a girlfriend goes well, I might be a lot less shy. I think the only reason I am nervous and confused about this is because I was not expecting it. Oh, and I will be teaching the AP class the day after tomorrow. Now that is not something I am nervous about. Never was, never will be. Anyways, I can't wait to get home and tell my mom about my day. Nervous

I am nervous. But I am also really excited and proud. I am going to be scheduling a call with Todd Revolt of the Meta 2 team. And I have every right to be nervous. I was not expecting my offer to be taken, and now that it is, I have to figure out exactly what I am going to say, when I am going to have the call, and whatnot. Add that to the fact that I am a 12 year old student and I will be discussing the design of holographic technology with a professional. But I can't back out. I never back out of doing something good, unless I absolutely have to. So wish me luck, everybody! I'll need it!

Worried About Morrie & Offer Accepted

Yesterday afternoon, I walked into my backyard to go on a short adventure through my natural mini forest. My backyard used to have a much bigger jungle of vines, thorns, and invasive trees, but one day one of my 80 year old neighbors, Robert, got bored. And cleared out half the mess of plants in a few hours. Robert is a cool guy. Anyways, I noticed Morrie following me. And Morrie was soon exploring the jungle. So I went back out to check if Spot was okay with that. And he was. But later on, during the night, I heard a meow. I poked my head out my door and, low and behold, Morrie was sitting there. I figured he was just being a bit too friendly, as always. But an hour later, he was still there, meowing. So my mom decided to give him some food. Morrie ate it all without hesitation. Which is odd. Morrie doesn't look like an abandoned or lost cat to me. But if his owners were nearby, why would Morrie need to beg for food from me? If he is still around by the weekend, I am going to call the number on his tag and- wait a minute, my neighbor is poisoning her garage because of ants today! Crap! I better email my mom! Okay, I emailed her, and get this! Meta 2 replied, and are willing to arrange a phone call with me about my offer! I did not expect them to take an offer from a 12 year old, but I guess I will be able to contribute after all! Woo! I can't wait to tell my teacher! =D

A Nice Man With An Honest Cause & Black and White Cats.

A few minutes ago, a salesman walked up to my house and asked for my mom. So I got my mom, and listened to the conversation between them. The man was not the kind of salesman who tries to sell you expensive vacuum cleaners. He was an honest man with a good and honest cause. He talked about going green, and biodegradables, and also about how he knows that he may be kicked out of some neighborhoods, or thought to be some heartless salesman, and all that, but he keeps on working because he knows it is right. He also had a good sense of humor. Anyways, Earlier today, I saw Spot and a fluffy white cat hanging out together, if you can call it that. I also got a better picture of Morrie (finally!) . Isn't that neat? My black and white cat is hanging out with a black cat, and a white cat.

Darnit, I Hate Being Shy

I am going to have to write this quickly, because my laptop is really low on battery percentage and I don't have a charge- oh, wait a minute... I think I have a spare charger in my backpack that I have been meaning to give to one of my teachers. Man, luck is really on my side today. Anyways, let's get to the point here. I have always stood out in school, and I think that is why I am so shy. An odd kind of shy. I am not at all shy when it comes to putting stuff out there for everyone to see, and I am not shy when I stand on stage in from of a bunch of people, but when it comes to normal interactions and conversations with other kids at school, I am shy. I would say I am half way to very shy. But there isn't a word for half of "very" other than ve or ry. Anyways, see ya later!

Presentations and Desk

So far my presentations, which I use to teach classes, and my desk, which is my base of operations, are both coming along nicely. I am still waiting for my teacher to show my presentations to the principle, but until then I at least have one lesson planned. For Friday. I will be teaching the Advanced Placement class, if you haven't been keeping up to date with my posts. And as for my desk, there are just a few more finishing touches to add, like a better chair, more storage, a few other things of choice, and it will be perfect. Here is the desk as of now.

Here Is A Presentation I Made

My Semi-Teacher Desk So Far

Recently I have been upgrading my desk, as you will see in the pictures I took. I added a side extension branching from the left side of the desk, so I can have my work on the main desk and my tools, laptop, and other resources on the left wing. That gives me more room to rest my arms on my desk while I do my work. I also got a new chair, which I am going to upgrade. I am going to give it wheels so I can swivel, because that is convenient for this kind of desk. You may be wondering where I get the stuff to modify my desk. Well, I get it from the various surplus storage rooms/places. And with the help of some teachers and a trolley, I get the stuff back, and get it ready and attached. The left wing of my desk still needs to be raised.

Morrie and Spot

There is a new cat in the neighborhood, named Morrie, who, like Spot, loves to adventure, is very friendly, and very fluffy. A bit too friendly. The first day I saw Morrie, I pet him once, and a few minutes later, he was in my house. Another thing that happened that first day I saw Morrie is very annoying. It was also the first day Spot saw Morrie (I think), and he ran across the street to inspect the newcomer. And Spot was under the neighbor's car for ages, watching Morrie, who was nearby. And whenever I tried to call Spot, Morrie came instead. After about a half an hour of trying to get Spot to come, I got both Spot and Morrie to come to me. And seconds later, Spot was under my car, and Morrie was back on the other side of the street. I had to crawl under my car and carry Spot out and into the house. I think that Morrie and Spot are friends, or allies. They recognize their separate territories and don't try to steal land from each other. Occasionally they hang out near each other. I Went Swimming Today

I went swimming today, and because of my long hair, I had to put it in a ponytail to enter the pool. I only agreed to that because I decided to put pride after fun and efficiency. The pool building itself is similar in size and shape to an aircraft carrier, and the water reflects onto the roof. It is quite a cool place.
